Bathtime Pastimes

Megan's been getting into matching her bath letters and numbers with ones written on the wall...does a teacher's heart good! She, of course, has a very short attention span, but I'll take what I can get!
This is her first written letter! She proudly said, "Oh" while drawing the beautiful little oval.

Chopsticks

Megan loves to use chopsticks ("chap steps"...so cute), so Kathy (She and her husband own our favorite Chinese restaurant) always rigs her up with trainers and she happily munches away on her Lo Mein.
I tried unsuccessfully to recreate Kathy's chopsticks. So, I was more than a little excited to find these cute animals ones at a toy store! Woo Hoo! If you're interested, they can be found at www.hogwildtoys.com.

Happy Birthday, Grandpa Jim!

video

Well, we had good intentions...we were set to get this posted on time for Megan's Grandpa's birthday last Tuesday. Sadly, it just didn't happen (obviously) since David was out-of-town, and I was under the weather. We were thinking of you, though, Grandpa and hope your day was happy! By the way, check out the look on Megan's face at the end...she's trying to focus on the smoke from the candle...too funny!

Megan's Portraits

First of all, I apologize for the crummy resolution of these photos...our scanner really stinks. These are Megan's 2 year portraits, and yes, I know that makes them 4 months old! Oh well...better late than never!

Happy New Year!

I just wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year or Gung Hay Fat Choy...in Cantonese! According to Chinese tradition, the Year of the Rat, or the year 4706 according the the Chinese calendar is beginning. Megan will be going to a party on Saturday at a colleagues home to celebrate. Estelle's family is originally from Guangdong, so it's a great opportunity for Megan to stay connected to one degree or another with her heritage.
